CDI took on the transformation of the former Warehouse Dance Club into a modern suite of offices for NK Law, leveraging the building’s rich history and unique challenges. Originally the birthplace of “House” music, the narrow width of 18 feet, multiple levels, and aging infrastructure required careful planning and expertise.
A key aspect of the renovation was the preservation and enhancement of the building’s character. The ground level reception area, first-floor hallway, and conference room benefited from refinishing the wood floors to compliment the exposed brick walls, creating a cohesive and inviting atmosphere. The loft area, featuring an existing spiral staircase, was revitalized by exposing the timber frame structure and adding a floor-to-deck window that provides a scenic overlook of the reception area.
CDI’s skillful execution transformed the space into a vibrant environment that reflects the unique history of the building while meeting the contemporary needs of NK Law’s team.
